Description Position: Audit ClerkReports to: ControllerFLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Summary: Perform a systematic review and reconciliation of all revenue and financial documentation to ensure compliance with Tribal, State, and Federal rules, regulations and laws. Essential Duties:Reviews and reconciles all revenue and documents, reports, records and other forms relating to revenue activities of gaming and other activities as required.
- Records financial information such as revenues of the Casino, audit reconciliations, and other financial documents into accounting databases.
- Maintains adequate inventories and control usage of serially pre-numbered documents, reports, records and other forms.
- Verifies records and financial statements created by other employees.
- Reviews accounting records and financial data to check for accuracy, correcting or noting errors within accounting records.
- Processes invoices and payments.
- Compiles financial data and creating reports.
- Reconciles cage, vault and inventory, also reconciles gaming machine reports, table games reports and all other revenue centers.
- Reviews matters pertaining to regulatory agencies, internal accounting systems, and internal policies & procedures for compliance.
- Ensures regulatory documents and Security/Safety reports are completed and turned in during the proper timeframes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Previous account handling experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Understand and comply with all Company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of basic rules of accounting as well as company procedures regarding transactions.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Must be accurate and detail oriented.
- Must have good computer skills.
- Must present a professional and well-groomed appearance.
