Slot Technician Manager

Position Summary:
The Slot Tech Manager's responsibilities include providing friendly, efficient service to Guests while on the slot floor, and supervising the maintenance and operations of the Slot Department.
Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position will directly report to the Director of Slot Operations.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
Adhere to all Company policies and carry out instructions of management.
Maintain clear and open communication upward, downward and laterally.
Evaluate operating procedures, recommend changes, and implement changes approved by management.
Participate in budget analysis for capital expenditures for slot maintenance and department projects relating to the casino floor, the slot technician's shop and electronic shop.
Ensure a safe work environment by being thoroughly familiar with OSHA safety codes.
Ensure maintenance of "Safety Data Sheet" log regarding all chemicals used within the Slot department.
Ensure that all Slot Technicians are trained, updated, and properly following safety procedures.
Maintain files and other documentation related to slot maintenance.
Responsible for supervising the daily functions of the Slot Technicians.
Participate in major projects such as slot moves and casino expansions when regular labor force is inadequate and perform the job functions of the Slot Technician when necessary.
Maintain a database of all slot equipment and related information.
Maintain up to date knowledge of video and slot machines.
Keep accurate and up‐to‐date records of completed work.
Aware of all upcoming events and promotions.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
Be thoroughly familiar with the set up and programming of all slot related gaming equipment (including slot video, slot real, video real poker games), player tracking systems, and slot accounting systems.
Proficient knowledge of Title 31, MICS and internal control regulations.
Proficient knowledge of player tracking system.
Strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, and computer systems related to slot machines.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.
Ability to analyze situations and implement effective solutions.
Must have computer skills and be able to use other job-related equipment.
Able to maintain positive and effective working relationships with team members, guests and other departments.
Have basic math skills.
Able to communicate with Guests in a friendly and positive manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
Highs School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years Slot Technician experience required; three (3) years slot supervisory experience preferred.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
All work is performed on site in Madera, CA.
Requires manual dexterity to perform job related functions.
Ability to sit, stand or walk for the duration of their shift.
Ability to bend, carry, climb, crawl, crouch, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, reach, sit, stand, or stoop during or for the duration of their shift.
Ability to use a hand truck.
Ability to move up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
Work Conditions:
Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests. Work includes the maintenance and care of the assigned work area. Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage.
