Senior/UAT Tester (Betting Systems, 1-Year Contract) (Sha Tin, New Territories, HK)

The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

The Division

The Wagering Products (WP) Division is responsible for driving the wagering business strategy and results for the Club through the wagering products of Horse Racing (Local and Overseas), Basketball, Football, Mark 6 Lottery and International Commingling with the aim to drive wagering turnover and revenue growth in a socially responsible manner.

The Job

• Interprets user requirements and comprehends systems documentation on new business features and enhancements

• Defines test strategy and objectives, as well as develops appropriate test cases for execution under physical or virtual testing environment

• Conduct user acceptance testing to validate the enhancements are incorporated according to user requirement and fit for user/ business operations, and prepare test reports

• Develops and maintains automation tools for User Acceptance test

• Collaborate with business stakeholders (including but not limited to Channel, BOCC, Football Wagering and Broadcasting users) on the environment and testing support to satisfy their testing and familiarization purpose

• Ensure UAT is conducted to ensure that the system and product delivery align with user requirements and HKJC Betting Rules

• Ensures compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club’s businesses Undertakes other duties as assigned by Line Managers

About You

• Degree in computer science or related disciplines.

• A minimum 5 years solid working experience in testing field.

• Strong analytical, communication, documentation and problem-solving skills with mature business acumen.

• Computational background with experience in Python, XML, Visual Basic, Java & C# an advantage.

• Less experience will be considered for a lower-grade position
