- Collects and retains basic equipment needed for duties e.g. radio, key etc. ensuring that they are in good working order.
- Receive, adheres to, and carries out instructions given by the Supervisor, reading diaries and reports to be updated on incidents from previous shifts which may need to be followed up.
- Patrols assigned areas at regular intervals assisting in required tasks as is necessary. Reports/ Handles unusual incidents or occurrences, suspicious persons, and employees who may be in unauthorized areas or areas for guests use only.
- Identifies and reports safety hazards, following up to ensure that they are eliminated.
- Escorts as necessary, cashiers or other persons involved in the movement of funds, casino chips or other valuables, both on property and for bank deposits.
- Provides protection of casino assets including verifying jackpot payouts and hopper re-fills, distributing gaming table drop boxes and transporting the same between the gaming table and the count room.
- Maintains strict vigilance and awareness in the casino, restaurants, entertainment areas to identify undesirables, if necessary, removing such persons inconspicuously.
- Access control to the restricted areas and secure corridor leading to the Soft and Hard Count rooms and the casino cage. Also manage the key control throughout the casino.
- Provides crowd control in areas such as gaming tables and at the entrance of entertainment areas. Also detains persons involved in illegal acts on property with special regard to the casino, pending notification of the Gaming Board Official or the Police. Preparing reports as necessary under the circumstances.
- Investigates all complaints made by guests and employees, providing written reports for the same upon completion. In addition, informs Supervisors of all incidents or unusual occurrences as they happen. Also, ensures that the diarist records incident and or unusual occurrences, factually and legibly in the diary.
- At the end of shift hands over completely all tools used during the shift, documents entrusted to the care of the officer and all information that will be necessary for the smooth running of the department.
- Be familiar with fire exits, fire equipment and their locations reporting any defects that you may detect during patrols. In addition, all emergency plans of the resort including the fire plan, emergency evacuation plan, the casino robbery plan and the Hurricane plan and First Aid equipment in the Casino and the resort.
- Administers first aid and or C.P.R. to persons that require it pending the arrival of medical assistance.
- Remains at post until properly relieved.
- Adheres to and enforces Company Rules and Regulations, as well as the laws of The Bahamas, this includes maintaining confidential information.
- Perform other reasonable duty that may be requested by manager.
- The Company operates a twenty-four (24), hour, seven (7) days a week business. Therefore, it may be necessary to change the accustomed shifts, at times, as the business demands.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Attention to details.
- Extensive knowledge of the English language
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position
