SUMMARY: The Poker Brush will assist with the daily operation of the Poker Room and facilitate the majority of cash and chip transactions during daily operations. Responsible for high level guest service and transaction accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet players and provide courteous service
Process cash and chip transactions according to department policies and procedures
Enter player ratings as needed
Run chips and cash between tables and banks to ensure game continuity
Maintain minimal variances in accordance with department standards
Verify cash/chip banks and prepare chip buys according to policies and procedures
Complete required documentation to maintain an accurate audit trail
Guide new guests through the buy-in and seating process
Must provide a friendly and attentive demeanor in all interactions in a fast-paced environment
Monitor seating lists and coordinate with supervisors as seating becomes available
Make PA announcements to patrons in the casino areas as needed
Seat guests according to seat and table availability
Coordinate with supervisors to facilitate guest requested table changes
Check messages at room opening to establish seating order
Answer phone as needed during business hours
Maintain awareness of promotions and encourage enrollment in the Passport Club
Explain and interpret basic rules of poker and betting limits
Resolve guest concerns or direct them to a supervisor level employee
Other duties as assigned

Skills
Required:
Accurate, efficient and detail-oriented
Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Basic computer skills, to include Microsoft Office
Previous cash and chip handling experience
Above average math skills and the ability to pass a math test
Excellent problem solving skills
Knowledge of poker and poker game etiquette
Abilities
Required:
Ability to work fast and efficiently
Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
REQUIRED TRAINING
Treasure Island guest service training
TIPS training and certification
Title 31 training and certification
Counterfeit identification training
Any position-related training as determined by department manager
Department orientation
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to walk and / or stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours
Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel
Must be able to reach and twist routinely
Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
Must have good eye hand coordination
Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily on the gaming floor. Environment may include excessive noise, flashing lights, and frequent loud noises
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
Occasionally overtime may be required
Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
