Overview:
The Head of Technical Operations is responsible for leading and owning the Technical Operations department of the Live Casino studio. This role ensures the technical quality, stability, and scalability of Live Casino production, covering everything the player sees and hears, as well as the operational readiness of all technical setups for live production. The position combines technical ownership, people management, asset control, budgeting, and external technical communication. The role acts as the single point of ownership for all technical operations within the Live Casino studio.
Responsibilities:
Own the technical quality of Live Casino production, including video, streaming, camera setup, lighting, and audio
Define and maintain technical standards for table setups and studio configurations
Monitor technical performance and lead resolution of incidents
Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
Lead and manage the Technical Operations team, including shift-based technical staff
Set priorities, assign tasks, and control execution
Act as the escalation point for critical technical incidents
Own inventory management for all technical and broadcast equipment
Maintain accurate equipment records and lifecycle tracking
Ensure availability of spare parts and replacement equipment
Coordinate equipment installation, replacement, and decommissioning
Plan and manage the Technical Operations budget (CAPEX and OPEX)
Define and maintain the cost structure per Live Casino table
Support budgeting for new table launches and studio expansions
Optimize technical costs without compromising quality or stability
Work with procurement and vendors on pricing and delivery terms
Act as the main technical point of contact for B2B clients and partners
Communicate technical requirements, updates, and incident-related topics in English
Work with external contractors and equipment vendors
Ensure alignment between technical setups and operational requirements
Support studio build-outs, table launches, and technical upgrades
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in technical operations, broadcast, streaming, or Live Casino environments
Proven experience leading technical teams in a 24/7 operational setup
Hands-on background with cameras, live video, and studio environments
Experience in Live Casino or real-time live production is mandatory
Strong understanding of live video streaming and broadcast workflows
Knowledge of camera setups, lighting principles, and audio basics for live production
Understanding of latency, bitrate, FPS, and streaming stability factors
Experience with technical incident management and RCA
Asset and inventory management experience
Proven people management and leadership skills
Fluent spoken and written English
Clear and structured communication with internal and external stakeholders
