Betologist

Keeneland is searching for new faces to join our BETologist team for the spring and fall race meets . BETologist interact one-on-one with race day fans to increase their knowledge of horse racing, describe how to place bets, explain how to read a racing program, and provide general information about horse racing. The goal of the BETologist team is to provide racing fans with a wonderful Keeneland experience. BETologist also help promote and sign-up new customers for our online wagering program, Keeneland Select.

Primary Duties

• Effectively communicate with customers.
• Sign-up customers to Keeneland Select for online wagering.
• Explain handicapping options.
• Interact with the crowd to promote wagering.
• Answer general questions about Keeneland.

Qualifications

• A winning smile, positive outlook and out-going personality.
• A genuine interest in horse racing. Obsessed fans are preferred.
• Basic knowledge of wagering on horse racing.  Candidates will be receive training but those with previous wagering knowledge are preferred.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast pace environment.
• Working knowledge of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.)
